The City Environment Administration has overall responsibility for the city's public spaces and collective accessibility.

We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work in the administration.

The City Environment Administration is part of the urban development administrations in Gothenburg City. Together, we work to create conditions for a functioning infrastructure, quality housing and premises, an inviting public environment, and strive for the city to be sustainable from all perspectives.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to help build Gothenburg? We are now looking for construction workers who want to work with minor maintenance tasks and plan the maintenance of Gothenburg's street and park environments.

The operational area of Construction and Function is the City Environment Administration's in-house provider for operation, construction, and civil engineering work in street and park environments. The operation is responsible for building, establishing, and maintaining Gothenburg's streets, squares, stops, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, and other outdoor environments.

Examples of work tasks include:

• Ground and construction work in street and park environments
• Maintenance and repair work
• Work with paving and surface layers
• Assembly and handling of materials and equipment

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you need to have:

• High school education in construction and civil engineering or longer work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Valid B driver's license

Meritorious are:

• Stone setting competence
• C license
